What we do

Bass Strait Transport is a TruckSafe Accredited Business.

We conduct medicals following TruckSafe and Australian Fitness to Drive Standard requirements, including building fitness for duty elements.

Bass Strait Transport has invested heavily into upskilling its workforce over the past two years for training. Our aim is for all driving and yard personnel to have a minimum Certificate III qualification in either Driving Operations or Logistics.

Bass Strait Transport recruitment centres on the use of proper employment documentation, including detailed job descriptions. All new personnel undertake a detailed induction program that is geared towards the role that they will undertake. In addition, we make use of equipment inductions, buddy programs, and even driving assessments as required to provide our employees with the tools they need to ‘Safely Deliver the Goods'.
